An Evening with Anvil

I had heard about the movie, Anvil, the Story of Anvil, about a month ago and had been sort of counting down the days 'til it came to my humble new city of Los Angeles. May I add that the immediate release of movies is definitely one of the greatest perks of being here? So, anyway, back to Anvil. For those who are needing a more sensory experience, here you go:

The movie, as expected, was great. With accurate comparisons to a real life "Spinal Tap", the movie captivated the entire crowd of the Nuart. And even better....the band came to do a follow up Q&A segment after the film was over. Lips, the frontman, is just as charming in real life as the movie suggests. The kind of guy that you would want in your circle of friends. For sure! Anyway, if you get a chance to go see it, I recommend that you do just that.

*On another sidenote, I returned home at oh, say, 12:30 AM. Starving. My posse flaked on my highly anticipated Kogi run. I was at a standstill. I deliberately did not eat movie snacks or dinner due to the expected Short Ribs Burrito. I walked in my house, put the keys on the table, thought for a second, picked them back up and drove over to the Brig...the current Friday night location for one of Kogi's two trucks. Bought a burrito. Took it home and ate it. Then dear reader, my evening was complete.
